Homosexuality, Racism And Genetics.

Prejudice

So, first of all, I’d like to make it clear this post is NOT discriminating against homosexuals. So please, continue reading and give this article a chance :) .

So, honestly, I don’t know where all this stuff about Racism being some how genetic is coming from. A Google search for, ‘Racism Genetic’ brings up more search results regarding how genetic differences in different races could provoke and encourage a, ‘race isn’t just superficial’ sort of attitude…

However, some guy on this ‘Genesis Logic’ blog or something(rather oxymoronic, don’t you think?) was going on about how if racism is genetic, then homosexuality being genetic doesn’t all of a sudden make it ethical- unless we want to make racism ethical.

Now the problem with this is that his only implied argument is that homosexuality is unethical because God says so.

However, racism effects hundreds of lives every day and has caused thousands of deaths, etc.

Homosexuality hasn’t- the only deaths have been those of homosexuals by misanthropes using religion as some sort of justification. What’s so bad about a couple of the same sex engaging in sexual acts? Nothing.

‘Oh, but GOD doesn’t like it!’- Well guess what, God also allegedly didn’t like black people, but now you find Christians campaigning against enslavement and significant amounts of black Christians.

Transhumanism/H+.

Transhumanism

Okay guys, so yesterday I was browsing forums on a site I frequent on(those from there will probably know I’m talking about them- I only really post frequently on one forum anyway), and a member posted an article on the NASA’s plot to blow up the moon(of course, it was phrased far more elegantly than that), and linked readers of his post to Scientific American’s article on the whole incident.

I read the article and found it rather informative, and clicked around a bit. Before I knew it I had 20+ tabs open with articles by the very site.

After several hours of reading articles on the specified site, I stumbled across an article talking about the possibility of making drugs available to those with Alzheimer’s, dementia and the likes which stimulated and improved cognitive functions, to the public. It then briefly talked about the concept of H+. H+ means Human Plus, or Human Enhancement. All the terms are synonymous for Transhumanism- the rather new cultural movement.

At first I thought to my self, ‘Heh, rather interesting’, but to be frank, everything I’d read on most of the articles was, ‘rather interesting’. Actually, the more I think about it, ‘rather interesting’ is almost a derogatory term by my standards where I find pretty much anything in that field ‘rather fascinating’.
